This report differs dramatically from our typical reports in that it is only tracking one two-week period in the election cycle. Typicaly, we begin tracking when the first reports come in and update them for aggregate totals as each subsequent report comes in.
The nature of this snapshots means readers should be careful about jumping to conclusions from one two-week period. For example, if someone took no contributions in this particular two-week period, it doesn't mean they haven't raised significant amounts of money prior to the snapshot, possibly more than their opponents. Likewise, if someone has no special interest contributions to report in this two-week period, it doesn't mean they haven't taken plenty of special interest contributions earlier, or later.
On the other hand, if they have taken special interest contributions in this two-week period, you know they are accepting special interest contributions, and you can see who they took it from during the period of our brief snapshot.
One final note: we used our existing reporting template, but have not conducted comprehensive reports on the candidates yet, so any field that is left blank means we have not run reports on those numbers yet.
CleanSlateNow Action encourages candidates to turn down special interest and coporate contributions and fund their campaigns 100% from individuals -- actual human beings.
